We’ve just launched a live chat service on our website. It’s a really easy way for our customers to get in touch with us and ask us anything from questions about power cuts to how they move their electricity meter.

Since Friday, we’ve seen exceptionally high winds and rain across all of the areas we cover (East of England, South East and London). This caused damaged to our overhead lines as they were brought down by trees, branches and other wind-borne debris

England had its windiest December since 1969. I’ve worked as a field engineer for 16 years and have experienced bad weather and flooding. But when I got to Yalding, a village in Kent, I’d never seen anything like it.
