Information for customers without power

Posted on 28 March 2016 05:57 PM by rudli1m

When storm Katie struck last night with over 70mph winds, power was initially cut to over 100,000 properties. We have been working really hard in windy weather conditions today to restore as many homes as possible. If you are still without power I apologise but can give reassurance our engineers are doing all they can in a difficult environment to fix the faults. You can check your area by using our LIVE power cut map

We tackle the incidents which affect the highest numbers of customers first and will do their very best to get every customer back on today. But I think it's important that you have good information to help prepare. Its possible we will have some customers still without power in the South East tomorrow (Tuesday). If we believe that we won't be able to fix the fault affecting you we will do all we can advise you of this. We can do this if we have your contact details. If you don't hear from us and you are concerned or our LIVE power cut map is not telling you that your power will be back tonight please call us 24 hours a day on 0800 31 63 105.

Our priority is to help vulnerable people who are affected and we are organising practical help in the form of home visits and hot food, wherever possible for the rest of today and tonight. From first light tomorrow our engineers will continue to repair all the damage caused by storm Katie and won't stop until your power is back on.

I would just like to say thank you very much for your patience throughout this difficult time and rest assured we are doing our very best to get power back on to all customers.
