Generator Owner and Operator (≥1MW)

We have set up workshops aimed at owners and operators of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) ≥1MW connected to our network. The purpose of the workshops are to provide an opportunity for UK Power Networks to engage with DER owners and operators and improve upon:

  • Communication with DER on outages and constraints
  • Potential approaches for forecasting and mitigating outages
  • Dissemination of innovation projects helping to minimise constraints

Planned outage information requests 

If you are the owner of a generator connected to our EHV network and would like to be kept informed of planned EHV outages/curtailment affecting your generator please email the information below to the relevant area:

  • Contact name
  • Company name & full address 
  • Company registration number
  • Job role
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Website address
  • A copy of the Connection Agreement
  • A letter of consent from the Connection Agreement owner (if this is not you)
  • Full site address
  • Site name
  • Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) Export and Import
  • UK Power Networks Substation ID (this can be found in the Connection Agreement)

Request for information - interruption to generator

Please complete the form below if you would like us to provide you with a network report detailing the reason a curtailment or outage affected your generator. We endeavour to provide this information quickly, however at times of network stress this may take longer than usual. Our Service Level Agreement is 30 working days. Site Responsibility Schedule (SRS)

We use the contact information you provide to us in the SRS to make you aware of interruptions affecting your generator. A copy of the SRS should be kept on the site of the generator.

If you would like to make a change to your SRS please complete our Request to update SRS form and email it to: MBX-SRS@ukpowernetworks.co.uk
