Understanding our process

We know how difficult it is sometimes to deal with large organisations. We offer an account management service to make this simple for you.

Our Account Management team can explain our processes, put you in touch with the right people to answer your questions and keep you up to date with the latest technical and operational changes in our business.

Working around our network equipment

It is important that you arrange and understand the following before you start any work near our electricity equipment:

  • Check if we cover the area which you are working in
  • The potential dangers of working near our electricity equipment
  • Gaining permission and consent to work on third party land
  • Complete our application form with details of your project and we will assign you a Project Manager who will assess your requirements and provide you with a quotation.

For larger projects it is likely that we'll need to gain access and/or work on third party land, in which case we'll need permission and consent from all parties involved. A summary of the process is available to download below.

Once you have made payment for your project and gained all necessary consents we'll start to schedule in the work with you. If you want to work near overhead power lines we advise you to download the safety guidance below.
