Understanding our process
We know how difficult it is sometimes to deal with large organisations. We offer an account management service to make this simple for you.
Our Account Management team can explain our processes, put you in touch with the right people to answer your questions and keep you up to date with the latest technical and operational changes in our business.
If you wish to contact our Account Management team you can do so by emailing networkskeyaccounts@ukpowernetworks.co.uk or calling one of our Key Account Managers:
Working around our network equipment
It is important that you arrange and understand the following before you start any work near our electricity equipment:
Full details of the process can be found by downloading the PDF below.
Use our area checker to find out if your project is within the areas that we cover.
It is also important that you check the location of our equipment before you start any work to avoid coming into contact with any equipment. You can request plans showing where our cables are.
Want to go ahead with the work? Complete our application form and we will then assign you a Project Manager to guide you through the process.
If you want to talk to us about your project first, please call us on 0203 324 1460 or email us.
You can find technical information including design specifications by visiting our G81 library.
Once we've received your application we will provide you with a quotation for the work. You can find out more about our Charging Methodology on our Regulations page under Connection, Use of System and Other Charging Documents.
You can also download our full list of Terms and Conditions below.
For larger projects it is likely that we'll need to gain access and/or work on third party land, in which case we'll need permission and consent from all parties involved. A summary of the process is available to download below.
Once you have made payment for your project and gained all necessary consents we'll start to schedule in the work with you. If you want to work near overhead power lines we advise you to download the safety guidance below.
