System Wide Resource Register

The System Wide Resource Register (SWRR) has been developed to provide better information to our electricity network stakeholders on Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and network requirements

The register:

  • Follows a format agreed by the Open Networks project and it will be updated on a monthly basis.
  • Provides information on generation and storage resources (≥1MW) that are connected, or accepted to connect, to our network.
  • Includes information on the flexibility services that are being provided by connected resources including flexible demand.
  • Will expand July 2020 with further information including the network reinforcements needed to provide connections.

For this release of the register, some data fields are redacted as Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) are restricted by the Utility Act and by Network Codes from publishing information that would identify specific resources. Modifications to network codes are being progressed to overcome these restrictions. Once these modifications have being agreed, all of the data fields will be published.

The resource register is our contribution to the System Wide Resource Register (SWRR) which has been developed through an ENA Open Network project. The information will be updated monthly. Whilst we use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the data contained within the resource register is accurate, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for, the accuracy or the completeness of the content or any loss which may arise from reliance on the resource register and related information. Our website terms and conditions apply to the resource register and related information.
