Amber Rudd MP visits our training centre

We were really pleased that Energy Secretary, Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP, was able to visit our training centre in Sundridge last month. She was there was there for a guided tour of the centre which trains apprentices to maintain and repair underground cables (jointers), overhead power lines (linesmen) and electricity substations (fitters).

As we approach the end of the year I always like to take a step back and reflect on events of the past 12 months, and it’s certainly great to be able to say that the reliability of power supplies is going from strength to strength.

I took part in the first of a series of ‘Caring for Customers’ roadshows where we’re touring to promote our Priority Services Register. This was the first time we have tried anything like this so it was a bit of an experiment really.

Last week we ran our first ever tweetathon and what a success it was!We followed our engineers around the streets of London, South East and East of England tweeting live updates to our followers.
