This week is Recycle Week and this year’s theme is ‘Recycling at Home and Away’. I recycle everything I possibly can when I’m at home. And as sustainability manager for UK Power Networks I’m always looking out for ways to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill sites.

Tropical fish are fascinating, beautiful and very restful. And if you’re reading this, you probably agree with me. Maybe you are just starting out with your first aquarium, or maybe you’re an old hand, but I want to make sure you are prepared if there’s a power cut.

Across our offices today hundreds of our employees supported a national fundraising appeal by the British Red Cross, our fantastic charity partner. It’s their volunteers who visit our vulnerable customers during power cuts.
