Our engineers fixing power lines damaged by the high winds

Posted on 17 February 2014 11:28 AM by rudli1m

Since Friday, we’ve seen exceptionally high winds and rain across all of the areas we cover (East of England, South East and London). This caused damage to our overhead lines as they were brought down by trees, branches and other wind-borne debris.

Our engineers then worked tirelessly around the clock to restore power to more than 376,000 homes and businesses, in extremely challenging conditions. All counties are back to normal although there may still be a small number of isolated properties still affected where we may have access issues.

I want to share with you some videos and photos of our engineers in action working hard to get your power back on and the damage they've seen and repaired.
