Storm Doris - Information for customers without power

When storm Doris struck this afternoon with over 70mph winds, several thousand properties were affected by power cuts across our network area. Our engineers have been working all day in extreme winds today to restore as many homes as possible. If you are still without power I apologise but can give reassurance our engineers are doing all they can in a difficult environment to fix the faults.

Where possible we tackled the incidents that affected the largest numbers of customers first and we will do our very best to get customers reconnected as quickly as possible. We have engineers working through the night to restore supplies as quickly as possible. But we can’t guarantee that all customers will be back on tonight as new weather-related damage is still being reported while the winds in some parts remain high.  It’s therefore important that you have good information to help you prepare, so please take a look at this list which provides the latest information about those properties that are currently without power.

Our priority is to help vulnerable people who are affected and we are organising practical help in the form of home visits and hot food wherever possible for the rest of tonight.

I would just like to say thank you very much for your patience and rest assured we are doing our very best to get power back on to all customers.
