Storm Katie round up

Over 123,000 of our customers were affected over the bank holiday weekend by Storm Katie which caused multiple cases of damage to overhead power lines across the South East and East.

There were hundreds of employees working over the weekend to prepare for the storm so we could be there ready to respond to your calls and update you on progress.  Many hundreds of our engineers got out to your area to repair damage as soon as it was safe to do so after the winds subsided to get your lights back on. Vulnerable customers were our priority and I'm proud that we worked with the British Red Cross to get local support out to those most impacted.

I’d like to personally thank our customers that were affected by Storm Katie, for your patience and understanding while repair work was completed. As you can see from the graphic below, our employees and partners certainly rose to Storm Katie’s challenge:
