The team from Bury St Edmunds had been collecting the eggs throughout the week and Jodie Warwick and Tammy Manning took them to the hospital today (April 18). Their donation included one from the four year old son of an employee who said he had enough chocolate and wanted to give his egg to “the poorly children”.

Rainbow Ward sister Charlotte Skinner said; “We are going to start handing these out now and we are very grateful. The parents also appreciate things like this. If it wasn’t for companies like UK Power Networks we wouldn’t be able to do this.

“It’s this sort of kind act that can help make a child’s stay less scary and turn what can be a fairly horrible time into a far more positive experience.”

As well as the children and staff on Rainbow Ward the treats will be shared with the siblings of babies on the neonatal ward and some were given to the staff in outpatients to share with visiting children.
