About us
- We are the UK’s largest Distribution Network Operator (DNO) in terms of customers, serving 8.5 million homes and businesses (approximately 20million people) across London, the South East and East of England
- DNOs aren’t the same as energy suppliers; network operators own and run local power lines and substations, while energy suppliers sell the electricity that runs through the power lines. So regardless of who you pay your electricity bill to, if you live or work in our areas it’s our 130,000 substations, and 191,000 km of overhead lines and underground cables, which deliver power to your property.
