A message from Patrick Clarke, Director of Network Operations

As the company responsible for delivering electricity to 8.3 million homes and businesses across London, the East and South East, we are approaching the lifting of Covid restrictions with a sense of caution and continued focus on safety.

While many restrictions have been eased now in England, there will be no immediate changes to the way we work to serve our customers. Please rest assured our staff will continue to wear masks should they be required to enter your home to complete electrical work so that everybody feels and stays safe.

Many of our customers have been living with various measures for some time now, and we understand you may be apprehensive about the easing of restrictions. We will continue to follow our well-established COVID protocols and build on health and safety best practice already in place to keep our employees and the public safe and reassured while continuing to operate as usual, keeping the power flowing.

Electricity is an essential part of our everyday lives, even more so now, whether that is supplying essential services such as the hospitals, or for those staying at home. Working from home will continue to be a feature of many people’s lives in the months ahead and we are redoubling our efforts to take care of customers living in vulnerable circumstances.

If you need emergency support or have any urgent issues, please call us on 105. We’re always here to help you. We offer free tailored support during a power cut for people on our Priority Services Register, and please remember to also check on friends, family or neighbours who might need extra support.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and for the latest information, please see our website and social media accounts.

Best regards,

Patrick Clarke
