Reducing your power capacity

If your business or property's electricity requirements have reduced, you may no longer need your current supply capacity.

There are two ways to reduce your capacity, depending on your circumstances:

  • Reduce your agreed capacity and keep your existing CT (Current Transformer) metering arrangement by updating your connection agreement.
  • Reduce your capacity and move to a standard meter if your electricity requirements have fallen to 100A or below and CT (Current Transformer) metering is no longer needed.

Not sure which option is right for you? The information below explains the key differences and what to consider before making a decision.
