Who we are and what we do
We own and maintain electricity cables and lines across London, the South East and East of England and make sure power flows reliably, safely, and securely.
We operate as UK Power Networks in these areas on behalf of our three Electricity Distribution Licence holding companies: London Power Networks plc, South Eastern Power Networks plc and Eastern Power Networks plc.

Our priorities are safety, customer service and helping to tackle the climate crisis by connecting renewable energy, electric car chargers and low carbon heating to the network. We strive to support our customers in vulnerable circumstances and go above and beyond for the communities we serve.
Your electricity supplier is the company you choose to buy your electricity from, and who you pay your bills to. Part of what you pay is given to UK Power Networks for running and maintaining the power cables in your area.
