Do I have to pay for the surveyor visit?

No, our surveyor will visit your site or property at no cost.

Do I need to be there?

We will always aim to meet someone at the site or property so we can talk through the work that is about to be completed. Lots of customers find this really useful. We are happy to meet with your electrician or builder too, please let us know who that will be when we contact you about booking the visit in.

Can my builder or electrician go to the appointment because I worry that this is all too technical for me?

Yes that is fine. Please let us know who that will be when we contact you about booking the visit in.

Do I need to do anything before you visit me?

No not at all, we’ll talk you through everything.

How long will the appointment be?

The appointment will take about an hour.

Will you give me a time for the visit?

The visit slot will be between 8am and 1pm, however the surveyor will call you the day before to give you an estimate time they will arrive. They will also call when 30 minutes away on the day.

What am I committing to by completing the application form?

You aren’t committing to anything other than a free visit from one of our surveyors. We can talk you through the work you need and get a quote sent to you. You aren’t committed to paying that unless you want to go ahead.

What do I need to send with my application form?

To speed things up please send us everything first time. Please make sure you send us:

• Proof that you own the site and can remove the electricity. We are not legally allowed to disconnect electricity unless we have authority from the person on the land registry. If you aren’t the owner we will accept a letter signed by the owner as long as they give explicitly permission for us to permanently remove the electricity.

• A photo of the site and all the equipment that needs removing

• A map of the property
