  • The pole is rotten or old


  • The ground is unstable


  • The pole is hit by a vehicle


Report a leaning or unsafe electricity pole

We have a regular programme to inspect and maintain our electricity poles and ensure that they are safe, not rotting or leaning. However, if you spot one, please report it now and we’ll investigate and, if necessary, visit the site to inspect the pole (usually within two weeks of your request).

If you think your situation is dangerous, please stay away from the equipment and call us 24 hours a day on 0800 31 63 105 or 105 (free to call from a landline or mobile). If you see electricity lines that are down or causing significant risk to the public please call 999.
